This has a 5mm of memory foam that is enough to practically make it shock-proof. Memory foam is polyurethane with additional chemicals increasing its viscosity and density. It is oftenformal gowns referred to as visco-elastic polyurethane foam. In some formulations, it is firmer when cooler. Higher density memory foam reacts to body heat, allowing it to mould to a warm human body in a few minutes. A lower density memory foam is pressure-sensitive and moulds quickly to the shape of the body. Memory foam was designed to make pillows and beds more comfortable. They used this same Herve Leger material which was initially designed for Mac book Air. But it fits most other brands of laptops. They even have one that fits the new HP Mini 11” which is an unusual size for a mini.
